Formica Offers Its Renew Series of Solid Surface
The Renew Series from the Formica® Solid Surfacing line uses post-industrial waste that would otherwise be sent to a landfill. The recycled manufacturing waste is used as particulates in the material and the result is a product that has 10 percent pre-consumer recycled content. According to the company the Renew solid surfacing material is hygienic and easy to clean and maintain, as well as being chemical-, impact-, stain-, fire- and water-resistant. Formica solid surfacing is Greenguard certified and may contribute to LEED Recycled Content credit, MR 4. It is available in White Renew (white with translucent and white chips) and Gray Renew (gray with translucent and gray chips).The durable, non-porous surface is ideal for a worktable or custom bar top, as well as sinks and shower surrounds.Sheet size is 2 ft. 6 in. by 12 ft. with a nominal thickness of 0.48 in.
