Hyundai L&C USA Announces Health Product Declarations
HYUNDAI L&C (Living & Culture) USA announced that all of its products within its HanStone Quartz and Hanex Solid Surfaces premium surfaces brands portfolio have Health Product Declarations (HPDs).
The Health Product Declaration (HPD) Open Standard provides a framework for product manufacturers and their ingredient suppliers to report and disclose accurate, reliable and consistent information about product contents and associated health information for products in the built environment. It is a consensus, stakeholder standard, governed by the HPD Collaborative, a non-profit member organization. The HPD Open Standard specification is harmonized with programs of International Living Future Institute, Cradle-to-Cradle Product Innovation Institute, Clean Production Action, BIFMA, LEED, WELL and a growing number of rating and certification standards in the building industry.
“These HPDs are a natural step in our company’s steadfast commitment to health and wellness and environmental sustainability. While our commitment is long-standing, there has never been a more important time than now to assure our customers, the design and construction community and those who live with and enjoy our products every day, that they are safe and contribute to living environments that are healthy and sustainable,” said David McWilliams, Director, Commercial Division, HYUNDAI L&C USA.
The HanStone Quartz and Hanex Solid Surfaces HPD documents can be found on the certifications page of their respective websites.
