Kirei Introduces VEE Tile: A Sustainable Designer Acoustical Solution
Kirei announced the newest addition to its EchoPanel product line made from recycled plastics. VEE Tile, made by CNC-cutting grooved patterns onto 12mm EchoPanel material, offers new design possibilities for noisy and high-traffic areas. “The VEE Tile provides a compact acoustic element that reduces intrusive room volume without sacrificing aesthetics or its green story,” said John Stein, president of Kirei. EchoPanel VEE Tile reportedly eases the sound in any space by retaining up to 36 percent of ambient noise. All of Kirei’s EchoPanel products and variations began as recycled plastic bottles. The panels contain 60-percent recycled plastics, eco-friendly dyes, and no added adhesives, resulting in a GreenTag™-certified product. In addition, VEE Tile can address LEED certification criterion including: Acoustics, Low-Emitting Material and Recycled Content. According to the company, VEE Tile is easily installed by adhesive, mechanical fasteners or aluminum moldings for mounting. The design tiles are sold in boxes of 10 and are available in more than 13 colors, with print customization to be available soon.
