Kliptech Manufactures EcoTop and RecycleTop Surfaces

Kliptech manufactures and distributes two types of sustainable surfacing: EcoTop® and RecycleTop®. Both materials were designed to promote sustainability without having to compromise style or quality and are in line with the company’s mission to develop, design and manufacture durable, cost-effective, user-friendly and environmentally friendly products.

EcoTop was personally designed by Joel Klippert, president and founder of Kliptech. It is composed of FSC-certified blend of renewable bamboo fiber and 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper bound in a water-based co-polymer resin with no urea formaldehyde, VOCs or benzene. This binder formula allows the product to be created in a wide range of colors from Snow White to Jet Black that do not fade or discolor from sunlight. EcoTop Surfacing is stain resistant, scratch resistant and repairable.

RecycleTop is the latest offering from Kliptech. It is composed of 50 percent post-consumer recycled paper bound in a proprietary 50 percent plant-based resin made from corn and cashew oil. The resin is free of VOCs, formaldehyde and benzene. Overall, RecycleTop content is 80 percent recycled and renewable materials. This surfacing can withstand temperatures up to 360° F, is highly scratch resistant and has a water-absorption rate of less than 1 percent.
